See how we created a series of parallax images using real photography and 3d Animation & brought the magic to celebrate The Times & The Sunday Times 2017 partnership with Sky Sports News.
Our Complete Guide to the Animation Process
The world of animation is a beautiful, mysterious place but if you don’t have an animated map to guide you, it can also be a daunting one.
Client: The Times & The Sunday Times
With the success of last years’ TV idents still fresh on the mind, we were once again asked to deliver the goods for The Times & The Sunday Times partnership with Sky Sports News HQ for their 2017 sponsorship.
With a new creative guideline for the brand, Pulse came to us looking to replicate the concept of last year’s spots, but with a new look and feel that represented their current full bleed image styling.
Therefore, we created a series of parralaxed images that were a mixture of layered real life photography and 3D animation that brought the image to life in super slow-motion. A perfect marriage of the in-depth insight & analysis of The Times & Sunday times and the best sporting detail of Sky Sports News HQ.
With a beautifully animated 15” spot and 5” cut down, we chose a gentle slow-paced and cinematic soundtrack to accompany the picture along with some very carefully edited SFX (by our friends at Clearcut Sound) to add the final touches to the spots.
