Entertaining Live Nation audiences on Europe’s largest event screen

Working with Live Nation and Electric Fly Productions, we took event content to another level! We took on the challenge and delivered bespoke VJ content for the longest screen ever constructed for a European event!
  • Client: Live Nation

THE CHALLENGE

At Pebble Studios we’re quite used to tackling one-of-a-kind projects, but when Live Nation approached us to see if we could produce a content experience that would wrap around the entire perimeter of the Milton Keynes bowl,  we knew we were in for a challenge. The event in question was Electric Daisy Carnival, arriving in the UK from Las Vegas, and high quality entertainment expectations to match.

OUR SOLUTION

Creatively, the key was to maximise the 360 composition of the screen format, encouraging fans to look all around, with frequent directional cues to the main stage.

There was however no obvious solution to the production challenge, so the initial process was to go straight into R&D, working closely with the screen producers and event engineering team. The result was a bespoke display format, reaching over 20,000 pixels across and playing through 14 on-site servers.

The effect on the night was like nothing the UK festival scene had experienced before. A true first for passionate fans of electronic music.
